Dayton Helms, the son of owners Chad & Melissa Helms, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia at the age of 14 months old August 25, 2011. He lived in Dell Children's Hospital in Austin for 4 out the next 6 months. He stayed in the hospital for a month at a time while undergoing treatment and was only able to go home for 2 weeks in between treatments. He was considered in remission and a wonderful 3 and half months at home before he relapsed June 26, 2012. Just 9 days after his 2nd birthday. He and his family then lived in the hospital together until he passed away on July 21, 2012. To honor Dayton, for every new pool that we build, we make a donation to the Dell Children's Hospital.
